Distro Box Quick Reference
Distro Boxes are used to split the big and medium sized feeders into multiple feeds to allow power distribution throughout a film set.
They range in size from 1200A (or more!) Camlok distribution box all the way down to a 6 Edison outlet box.
1200A Distro Box
A 1200A Passthru distribution box allows you to take camlok from a generator and provides 6 100A Bates connectors on the front and typically, 3 100A 220V Bates connectors at the back.
600A Pass Thru
600A Passthrough distro boxes are smaller versions of the 600A and typically provide 3 100A bates connectors.
100A Lunchbox
A Lunchbox typically provides 5 duplex edison outlets that are individually fused from a 100A bates feeder.
100A Gang Box
The 100A Gang Box (also known as a Woodhead) is used to provide 5 edison circuits and terminate a leg of the distribution network.
60A Gang Box
The 60A Gang Box (also knows as a snack pack) is used much the same as the 100A version, but on a 60A Bates line obviously. It only provides 3 edison circuits.
