Run-of-show packages built around your budget
We’ve been the local G&E vendor on independent features for a decade, and we know what these budgets look like. Tell us your schedule, your locations and your number, and we’ll build a package that works.
- Weekly and run-of-show rates. Priced for the length of your shoot, at a 1 day/wk rate for multi-week engagements.
- Loaded trucks. Sprinter, 4-ton and 5-ton packages, ready for your gaffer and key grip to adjust.
- Power for any location. Distribution up to 1200A, a 1200A tow plant and portable generators.
- One order for the whole list. We can source camera packages, dollies and specialty equipment, all on a single invoice.
- Local crew. We can refer experienced Savannah gaffers, grips and electrics, which also helps you toward the incentive’s local crew bonus.
- Swap-outs and changes. Schedules move. We adjust the package as your shoot evolves rather than holding you to the prep-day list.
Shooting on a smaller budget? We’ve supported features at every level, and we’d rather help you build a realistic package than quote you out of the room.

When a show brings its own package, the nearest replacement is four hours up I-16. We’re here.
- Day-play and add-ons. Extra units, stands, frames, distro and cable when the day calls for more than the truck carries.
- Expendables, in stock. Gels, tape, blackwrap, sash, batteries and more, on the shelf in Savannah. Walk in or call ahead and we’ll have it staged.
- After-hours access. Production doesn’t keep office hours. We open when you need us.
- Delivery to set or stage. For a flat fee, we’ll bring it to you.
- Emergency replacements. Something went down? Call. We’ll tell you straight away what we have.

Rentals from JML and the Savannah Entertainment Production Incentive
Savannah offers a 10% cash rebate on qualified local spend for eligible feature films, pilots and series, on top of Georgia’s transferable tax credit of up to 30%. Qualified spend includes rentals and purchases from companies operating in Chatham County.
JML Rental is based in Chatham County. Equipment rentals and expendables purchased from us are the kind of local vendor spend the program is designed to reward.
What to know
- The rebate applies to feature films, television pilots, and television or streaming series. Commercials are not covered by the local rebate, though they may qualify for the Georgia state credit.
- Eligibility depends on your budget, your qualified spend in Chatham County, and where you shoot. Tiers, minimums and caps are set by SEDA and have been updated more than once recently.
- A local crew bonus is available when enough of your crew lives in the Savannah area. We can help with referrals.
- Productions must meet with the Savannah Regional Film Commission before applying.

From first call to wrap
- Send your list or your schedule. A gaffer’s wish list, a budget line, or a conversation. Any of them is a fine place to start.
- Hear back within two business hours. A quote for straightforward lists; a first response and timeline for full run-of-show packages.
- Paperwork online. Rental agreement, certificate of insurance, signed and sent from your desk.
- Payment online. ACH, Wire or credit card through a secure link. No paper card forms.
- Prep day. Your gaffer and key grip check the package at our shop before it rolls.
- Shoot with support. Swap-outs, add-ons and expendables runs for the length of your show.
- Wrap and return. Clear check-in, and a prompt loss-and-damage report so your accountant can close the books.
FAQ
Do you offer weekly or run-of-show rates? Yes. We offer a 1-day week on multi-week film rentals.
Do rentals from JML qualify for the Savannah incentive? Yes. We’re a Chatham County vendor, and the program’s qualified spend includes local rentals and purchases. Eligibility is determined by the Savannah Regional Film Commission based on your whole project, so confirm with them early.
Can you supply camera, dollies and lifts as well? Yes. We can provide camera packages, dollies and aerial lifts, on the same order and invoice as your grip and electric.
What insurance do we need? A certificate naming JML Productions LLC, covering General Liability, rented equipment and vehicles. Details are on our COI page.
We’re a studio show with our own package. Can we still use you? Absolutely. Add-ons, day-play, replacements and expendables are a big part of what we do for visiting productions.
Can you open after hours? Yes, by arrangement for a nominal fee.
Can you recommend local crew? Yes. We know the working gaffers, grips and electrics in the region and are happy to make introductions.
